Technique of the Month - November 2006

Flashing Wings
(
right straight punch

  1. Step to 10:30 with a left thrusting inward block. The right hand chambers at the hip.
  2. Push-drag shuffle forward to 12:00 into a left close kneel with a right glancing elbow to the opponent's ribs. The left hand covers high (transition), step back with the right into a right side horse with a right outward elbow to the opponent's scapula, the left hand goes to a hammer position.
  3. Push-drag shuffle forward into a right high wide kneel with a right outward handsword / left inward handsword combo to the back of the opponent's neck, the right hand ending with a pin on the opponent's right hand. The left knee checks the opponent's right knee.
  4. Pivot to a left high wide kneel with a right obscure handsword to the opponent's throat while the left hand re-checks the opponent's right arm.
  5. Cover out.
