Technique of the Month - December 2005

Sleeper
(right straight punch)

  1. Step to 10:30 into a left neutral bow with a left thrusting inward block, the right hand hangs at the side.
  2. Pivot to a left forward bow with a right inward diagonal inner wrist to the opponent's neck; the left hand checks the arm.
  3. Step to 12:00 with the right into a high wide kneel and apply a choke.
  4. Step to 3:00 with the left (transition) and unwind counter-clockwise and take the opponent down.
  5. Drop on the opponent's left ribs with a right knee; pin the arm with the left; do a right vertical snap punch to the opponent's face.
  6. Cover out.
