Technique of the Month - July 2005

Gripping Talon
(right direct wrist grab)

  1. Step to 12:00 with the right while delivering a right reverse hammerfist to the opponent's groin; the left hand maintains the grab on the opponent's wrist.
  2. Deliver a right inward elbow to the opponent's rib, followed by a right outward elbow; the left hand maintains the grab.
  3. Do a right drag-step buckle to the inside of the opponent's left knee, simultaneous with a right forward horizontal forearm to the back of the opponent's neck. Immediately deliver a right knee to the opponent's face, keeping the forearm on the back of the opponent's neck.
  4. Cover out with a right front crossover as you deliver a right palm heel strike to the opponent's elbow, the left hand maintains check.
  5. Cover out.
