Technique of the Month - March 2005

Leaping Crane
(right straight punch)

  1. From a natural stance, hop to 9:00 into a left one-leg stance as you deliver a right middle knuckle rake to the opponent's ribs with a left inward parry (transition). Immediately deliver a right side snap kick to the back of your opponent's right knee, landing in a right wide kneel stance with a right outward back knuckle to the opponent's kidney / lower spine area.
  2. Rise to a right neutral bow with a right inward elbow / left heel palm "sandwich" to the opponent's jaws (mandibles).
