Technique of the Month
- February 2005
Tripping
Arrow
(front bear hug - arms
free)
- From a natural stance, step to 9:00 with the left as you drop
down diagonal into a horse stance with a right inward overhead elbow to
the opponent's collarbone while the left hand grabs and pulls down on
the opponent's right shoulder.
- Circle counter-clockwise with the right foot to get behind the
opponent after the right hand pushes slightly on the opponent's throat
(transition). Immediately pivot to a left forward bow as the right hand
pushes the opponent's throat and the left hand pulls to complete the
takedown.
- Deliver a right side stomp kick to the opponent's face while both
hands maintain the grab on the opponent's right wrist, cover out with a
right front cross side stomp to the opponent's arm.
