Technique of the Month - February 2003

Delayed Sword
(defense against a right lapel grab; the first technique of the Kenpo System)

  1. From a natural stance, step back to 6:00 into a right neutral bow with a right thrusting inward block as your left hand covers low.
  2. Deliver a right front snap kick to the groin
  3. Land in a right wide heel stance with a right outward hand sword to the side of the neck as you left hand checks high.
