The Infamous MVKS Costume Party!

“This was the best costume party ever!” said the Egyptian Queen. There was lots of fun, games, prizes and treats to be had as MVKS was invaded by monsters, princesses, pirates and cowboys on the 28th of October. This is one of my favorite events of the year, and I’d like to thank all of the volunteers who helped make this party a success. Now get that candy away from me!! Pictured at left are Tucker, Dante, Tristan, and Joshua, with their prize ribbons.

This Month ... New 3rd Degree Black Belts!

Please join me in congratulating Justin Clarke, John Coughlin, sr., and Shad Smith for earning their 3rd degree Black Belts on November 4th. These gentlemen and 7 others from throughout New England tested before the Senior Board of Examiners and did an exceptional job. 3rd Black is a very significant rank in our schools as it documents someone who has completed and can perform the entire Kenpo system. Great job, guys! We are all proud of you!!

Black Belt Candidates Will Try Again On December 2nd

Our Black Belt Candidates took their 3rd exam on Oct 28th and came up a little short. They were close enough to passing that they should only need another month of preparation, and I’ll be working with them personally on Wednesday nights to ensure their success. Please encourage them and wish them well on their next test scheduled for Dec 2nd. If all goes as planned, they’ll be receiving their Black belts on Friday, December 8th.
